Chad Loftis
Key Facilitator
Growing up as a missionary kid and the son of a pastor, Chad Loftis saw the value of compassion as a way to cross cultural barriers and heal hurting people. He fell into professional counselling while at Bible College in the USA because he wanted to be in the same class as a cute girl.
The girl later became his wife and psychotherapy his calling. In 2012, after working as a counsellor for kids and young people in Australia for several years, he and his wife, Erika and their four kids moved to Northern Thailand to work with SIM as missionaries.
Chad served as a therapist and, later, as part of the leadership team at The Well International in Chiang Mai. During their ten years in Thailand, Chad discovered a love for teaching and for supporting new therapists in their vocation. He hopes the experiences God has given him so far in his life will help, not only his students, but everyone they will serve.
