Prof Brian Edgar

Brian is Professor Emeritus of Asbury Theological Seminary where he taught systematic and other areas of theology from 2005 to 2021. Prior to that he was Director of Public Theology of the Australian Evangelical Alliance. 

However, he is best known around MST as a former Academic Dean and Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at what was then known as BCV at Lilydale, where he and his family lived on-campus, from 1986 to 2003. 

He is married to Barbara and they have two daughters and two grandchildren. Brian is now retired. His research and writing has focused on aspects of public theology, science and theology, sexuality, the Trinity and, most recently the way that a Christian relationship with God and others is to be positively characterized by friendship, playfulness and laughter.
